On the 15th-17th of July, professional Thai racing driver Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik will contest Round 2 of the GT World Challenge Asia calendar at the legendary Suzuka International Circuit in Japan. Sandy’s latest performance at Suzuka included a P2 finish in 2018.
The second round of Asia’s largest GT racing series continues with GT World Challenge Asia at Suzuka. Thai racing driver Sandy Kroakaew Stuvik will be representing Audi Sport Asia in his Audi R8 GT3 Evo II run by Audi Sport Asia Team X-Works. For the Suzuka round, Sandy will share the wheel with the esteemed Marchy Lee, who has many years of racing with Audi under his belt. The duo will compete for both overall and Silver class victories. “Suzuka is definitely one of my favourite circuits in the world. Truly a driver’s circuit which is demanding and unforgiving. There is no room for error here, and I relish that challenge. I have been working extensively both physically and on the sim to make sure that I am as ready as I can be for this event. Despite not driving at the circuit since 2018, I am sure that I will get back into the groove quickly.” Explains Sandy.

Together with Audi Sport Asia Team X-Works, and Marchy Lee, Sandy has a solid foundation of experience to lean on, as this circuit was one of the team’s strongest when the GT World Challenge Asia series last raced here back in 2018. The new Evo II upgrade kit should help bolster the team’s chances, however will still be up to the definition of the weekend’s BOP. Sepang was unforgiving for the Audi cars, Sandy hopes that they will be allowed to compete at a more balanced level come Suzuka.
Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik is honored to be supported by The Pizza Company, B-Quik, Audi Sport Asia, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Jet8 Aviation, Thai Airways, Puma Thailand, Dacon Trading, Thaiwings Travel Agency, the Sports Authority of Thailand, and the Royal Automobile Association of Thailand.
