Next-Gen Ford Everest Titanium+

I had the pleasure of driving the Next-Gen Ford Everest (Titanium) for a few weeks. This large family SUV demonstrates great composure and comfort in all driving conditions, making it a great daily driver. With ample storage for people and cargo, the Everest is truly one of the best all-round vehicles on the market.

Exterior:

The 2023 Ford Everest (Titanium) has inherited Ford’s new design features with the new front-end and headlights seen across all the Next-Gen Fords of this year. The bold and distinctive headlights make the Everest stand out from other traffic and has become a prominent design feature of the new Fords. The modern headlights offer great lighting during night driving. The rear of the car has also been redesigned to Next-Gen standards, but the changes are certainly more subtle than the front.

Interior:

As with all the Next-Gen Fords of this generation, the interior has seen a massive upgrade. The center console features a 12-inch screen from which the vehicle’s functions and systems are operated. All the menus and vehicle assists can be easily accessed via this screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto is a huge benefit, and the large screen is great for navigation. For off-roading, the vehicle’s cameras can also be accessed, making tricky terrain in front of the car very easy to see. The steering wheel itself has also seen a small refresh. The Everest features USB Type C charging, as well as wireless charging, although the latter is still quite inefficient (as all wireless car chargers currently are).

Performance:

The Next-Gen Ford Everest is powered by the same 2.0l bi-turbo found in the previous gen Ford Ranger Raptors, boasting around 213hp and 500nm of torque. The power is sufficient for the vehicle’s duty. Paired with selectable drive modes and selectable 2H, 4H, 4L, and a locking rear diff, the Everest is ready for any situation. The Everest puts it’s power down via 265/50 R20 tires all round. The tires offer a good trade-off between on-road and off-road driving, although it is definitely more suited to on-road driving. The Everest shares the same chassis ideology as the Ranger Raptor, featuring springs and dampers all round as opposed to leaf springs commonly found in competitor SUVs/pickups. This gives the car much better handling in corners and comfort over bumps or undulations in the road.

Improvements:

In my opinion, the Everest is a great long-distance cruiser. It gives you good comfort and decent fuel efficiency. I think this vehicle serves its purpose well, and I struggle to think of what to improve on it. Not because it cannot be improved, but because it does the job it set out to do. For a vehicle like this, I think that’s all you can ask. 6/10.
