Sandy just completed his first ever test runs at the Shanghai F1 Circuit. After a long anticipation to race at Shanghai’s famous F1 circuit, Sandy was thrilled to arrive here Thursday morning for 2 days of testing in his Formula Renault. The track most definitely delivered; Sandy and the team did the track walk early in the first morning and was amazed at how fantastic and big this track really is. Coming from Chengdu’s very bumpy track, this is the opposite end of the scale, super smooth, wide and immaculate everywhere. And the back straight….! That 1.175 meter long, very wide, very fast piece of road was what the 15 year old Sandy really-really had been looking forward to. Sandy easily set his new land speed record flying down this endless road.

The second day of testing saw some early morning rain and Sandy was lucky enough to also get in a wet session, even though the track quickly dried up and slicks again became the order of the day. Sandy now feels well prepared for next week’s race and is eagerly looking forward to his next championship race at Shanghai.
